Running away

Sebastian, Analise, and Bjorn decided to run away.  Sebastian was fed up with being told what to do and he wanted to live the good life of making his own decisions.  The other two were in it for the pizza.  They decided one of their destinations would be Little Ceaser's.  It took them about 2 hours to finish packing.  Holy Moly, Analise practically packed everything she owned.  No slumming it for this girl.  Cosette thought it quite funny.  I too was laughing, although a part of me was a little worried for them.  I mean my it would be my luck my children would run away and get abducted....

Cozi made a sign for them and took their mug shots....

 Obviously, the ring leader
Notice Bjorn wearing his heavy coat?

 off they go....
 Bye-bye!
Ten minutes later Bjorn comes back and throws the heavy coats on the couch.  As soon as they turned the corner, Hannelora and Cozi followed them sneakily.  (yea, I am sure really quiet with Cozi)

Later Hannelora told me they saw them and Zeb walked back to her to ask if she would take some bags home.  I was on the phone with her and I asked if he was ready to come home.  His first response, "No way mom, I have a date with destiny!"  Then I told him I would fix him lunch and he said, "ok".

All together, they were gone for about 40 min. and they only made it 3 blocks!  Hee, hee!

Broth.... better than Benadryl!

Hannelora and Cosette have been drinking chicken broth 3x a day for 2 days straight.  Man are they lethargic.  I am almost tempted to put the boys back on it.  They could barely move, they sat on the couch hardly doing a thing.  So instead of drugs try broth, that'll knock 'em out!  Plus they'll be healthier for it too:)

Chicken, Pesto Asparagus!  Yum!  I made my own pesto with dried basil.
1/2 c. dried basil
1/4 c. nut
3 garlic cloves
1/2 c. olive oil
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
mix in food processor

Girls dinner:  hamburger and veg. boiled in broth  with a little bit of rice
You can see how excited she is to eat it.....

Zeb's birthday, Analise loses her 2 front teeth at 7 and indigestion issues again....

We survived our last birthday on GAPS! Zeb turned 9 on July 28th.

My all time favorite birthday dessert.  Peanut Butter Pie! Of course I had to modify it, it was very rich and sweet.  Unfortunately, without the crust, it went flat as soon as we dished it up.  I am not sure if the honey made it more runny, but the kids sure liked it.  The fudge was unsweetened carob chips, honey and butter.

Zeb's favorite super hero is iron man...   Happy birthday little buddy.

Little Pizzas!  I grew up eating these.  Of course we had regular tortillas then.  The pepperoni was heated with the sauce.  Very simple and the kids loved these.

Analise loses her two front teeth at age 7.  I love the look of toothless mouths.  She is so adorable.

I made a yummy chicken, strawberry, spinach salad with strawberry dressing.  Mmmmmmm.....  Cozi said she wouldn't touch it, then she had a bite and she loved it!

I am so bummed, both my girls have stomach issues.  Hannelora must have eaten something her stomach wasn't happy with on Monday and Cozi's started Thursday. (we had white beans in our dinner and I know she can get gassy, but I never imagined this)  So we are on my version of intro.  Meaning I am putting them on stage 3 and 4 with broth at least 3 times a day.  They were hungry so I made them an avacado, mango kiefer smoothie.  They told me there tummies feel better.  Yea!  I feel bad they have to eat bland food, so I will try to spoil them with certain foods if they can handle it.  It is hard to watch everyone else eating our reg. food while they are eating cooked chicken and broccoli:)

It also stinks because we had to miss out going to Redlodge with the cousins or going home early from Jen and Justen's BBQ to see Jay.  (A friend of Nathan and Justen's growing up) So we are trying to enjoy a quiet Sunday, us 3 girls.
