Easter

I love Easter.  I wish it lasted a month long like Christmas does.  I love the meaning, the sense of hope and nice weather is just around the corner.

Here we are decorating 10 dozen eggs.

Hunting for eggs.  This year we did something a bit different.  They each picked a certain color egg and they could only find those matching eggs.  This way, they all got the same number and it made it a bit harder:)

More Birthday Parties: A 13 year old and an 8 year old!

Two birthday parties on the same day.  That is a feat unto itself!  After our writing/science/art group was over I took 2 of Analise's friends home for lunch.  Kai and Abigail.  She wanted a duck tape party.  Cozi was an awesome help.  She researched how to make a hat, so that is what we did!  The girls had a blast.  Who doesn't like duck tape?  It is amazing at the colors and designs they now have.  When I was growing up I just heard of grey....  Late in the afternoon was Hannelora's birthday.  She invited her friends from her girl's group:  Kjersten, Emma and Aspen.  They have been meeting for over a year and a half with a mentor.  I think?  Anyway, we had Papa Murphy's pizza and and cake.  Hannelora wanted German Chocolate.  She opened her presents and then the fun began.  They had crazy hair and blind make overs.  Each time they went over to show Vicki and Tyler there crazy looks.  I couldn't believe they even jumped on the trampoline in the cold.  Vrrrr....

This picture was taken on her real birthday the 20th.
Of course, I was too slow the catch her blowing out her candles.  Here she is pretending...

Cozi made her American girl doll a gun case....
...and the stand for shooting practice
For Analise's birthday.... an American doll bed
Sebastian and I had to pick up something I can't remember and he suggested we get the movie Frozen.  Seb. hid it in his coat and gave it  to them.  Nice wrapping job.....
They were very happy.... we watched the movie together that night.
Analise wanted pancakes, bacon and pineapple for breakfast ( Hannelora chose Bacon and pancakes)

 Happy face!
Eating hotdogs, Terra Chips and carrots
singing along while everyone sings Happy Birthday to her
 I didn't miss this time
 Kai's hat
 Ta Da!  Nice job Coz!

The boys... IT's a good thing everyone is use to brothers!

Kjersten is blind folded.  I wouldn't recommend doing this if you want a professional look!

Nice...     Unfortunately, there weren't any pictures of their hair or the other girls faces....

Earings and Makeup

A certain little girl has finally decided to get her ears pierced. Amazing!  I never thought this day would come.  Daddy was the one who kept pursuing it.  I think he thinks every little girl wants pierced ears.  She only wanted daddy  to take her.  So after karate, daddy took her and Hannelora to Claire's.  I think Hannelora was more worried for her.  So cute to hear the story.

A few weeks before her 13th, we to Sephora to get some eye makeup for Hannelora.  We bought some shiny pink and purple eyeshadow.  She can now wear mascara and lip gloss too.  She is so simple to please.  She smiled from ear to ear as she was getting her makeup on.   I can't believe my first born is growing up so fast.

The Flood

It seems like we get a flood in our backyard a few times a year.  This time was the worst because it was during winter and the snow made it harder to drain out.  A day before, the water was worse.  The water went all the way to the trampoline.  We had to dig 2 ditches so the water could flow out our backyard.

Note the water in the field, there is a pond or basin and when it melts the ground conveniently slants perfectly to our yard.  Causing the water buildup.

It is hard to see the creek on this side of the fence.  But it is there.  Hannelora filled up 2 huge buckets of water from her window well.  Unfortunately, her bedroom did get some water.

Cozi turns 11

Another year, and she is now 11.  Of course, she wanted to go ice skating.  I have to say, we went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was so quiet.  There wasn't anyone there.

This is a picture of our cupcakes...

Here a picture of the regular cupcakes.  Can't tell the difference huh?  Not even in taste....  well I don't know since I haven't eaten reg. cupcakes in over a year...
