Earings and Makeup

A certain little girl has finally decided to get her ears pierced. Amazing!  I never thought this day would come.  Daddy was the one who kept pursuing it.  I think he thinks every little girl wants pierced ears.  She only wanted daddy  to take her.  So after karate, daddy took her and Hannelora to Claire's.  I think Hannelora was more worried for her.  So cute to hear the story.

A few weeks before her 13th, we to Sephora to get some eye makeup for Hannelora.  We bought some shiny pink and purple eyeshadow.  She can now wear mascara and lip gloss too.  She is so simple to please.  She smiled from ear to ear as she was getting her makeup on.   I can't believe my first born is growing up so fast.

The Flood

It seems like we get a flood in our backyard a few times a year.  This time was the worst because it was during winter and the snow made it harder to drain out.  A day before, the water was worse.  The water went all the way to the trampoline.  We had to dig 2 ditches so the water could flow out our backyard.

Note the water in the field, there is a pond or basin and when it melts the ground conveniently slants perfectly to our yard.  Causing the water buildup.

It is hard to see the creek on this side of the fence.  But it is there.  Hannelora filled up 2 huge buckets of water from her window well.  Unfortunately, her bedroom did get some water.

Cozi turns 11

Another year, and she is now 11.  Of course, she wanted to go ice skating.  I have to say, we went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was so quiet.  There wasn't anyone there.

This is a picture of our cupcakes...

Here a picture of the regular cupcakes.  Can't tell the difference huh?  Not even in taste....  well I don't know since I haven't eaten reg. cupcakes in over a year...

The crew,  do you know how long it took me to tie everyone's skates.  Holy Moly!

That night, Cozi asked for Peanut Butter Pie.  Sooooo good!
