More creativity

I think Cozi is going to keep making more American girl stuff.  My goodness, she is crazed, but I had to take pictures of it.  Sebastian is totally into Iron Man 3.  He has never seen the movie, yet he knows more about it than I do and I have seen it.  He has made Tony Starks mansion and Mandarin's Lair.  He also created a few costumes with paper, tape and markers.....

I totally think boys are the most hilarious actors when it comes to playing!

Cozi made pillows to go on top of her American girl doll's bed.

Only a homeschool child would think of making a classroom for her doll!  I love it!

First camping trip of the summer

We went to Redlodge to camp with the Rudolphs and Samuelsons.  We ended up with quite a party.  Nathan's parents, Simon, Shena and Cohen, Jane also camped further down the road.  Justen's parents came up on Saturday for the day.  It was rather cold and rained off and on Sat.  It was fun but I think Sunday morning I hit my limit with cold and smoke.  I finally (3 days later) still smell smoke.  I am so glad I live the 21st century.  I told Nathan I would probably never have survived as a pioneer woman.

Marshmellows!
They actually worked and tasted just like the real thing!  They even toasted beautifully!   I will make them for every camping trip, however they are time consuming.

this picture is sideways, but they are in a dish drying.  They aren't even as sticky as I thought.  The next day Cozi cut them into squares.

Watching Mr. Justen catch a fish in the river

It was so cool, he caught one right away.  I was so excited for the kids to eat fresh fish.  They love it so.

Analise was enamored with it, she called it Rosie

Justen cleans the fish and even lets Hannelora do a little bit.  He showed them the anatomy of a fish.  They loved every moment of it!
Grunt......  I am man over fire.....  I cook lots of steak....
He was so happy with himself!  He loved every moment.  Maybe I should get a huge fire pit/stove and I won't have to cook anymore!

Our second chicken coop

My goodness, chickens are a lot of work when you want to add onto the family.  We have decided to build a second coop because the newer ones were not being treated well by the big mammas.  Then to top it off, we found out we had 2 roosters.  I am so bummed.  I really wanted Easter Egg Chickens.  I have heard and I don't know how accurate this is, but Shiptons gets straight run chickens and advertises them as girls.  It certainly  does make sense in our case.  This Sunday, we went to a gals home who has chickens.  (She owns Quilt Blossoms Main)  They took our 3 and we bought 3 more.  I do care where my food comes from and am trying to purchase from local producers.  I found out from this gal with the chickens, that the Huderites have some immoral practices with their chickens.  I believed her because she actually has some from them.  I don't know if she rescued them or what.  They feed them high protein feed so they will produce 3 to 4 eggs a day.  Their feathers on their backs are off (due to the male chickens mating) but they can't grow back their feathers because the feed isn't for rebuilding and growing feathers, so they have none in the back.  If  and I am saying if they are free range, they will get sun burned in the summer and frozen in the winter.  Also, that too is an if.  They only last 3 to 4 months because of the stress of laying so many eggs a day.  Terrible.  God gave us these creatures to nurture and take care of.  It makes me sick.  I am glad I had my eyes opened up, so I can be more careful where my food comes from.
