The kids are beside themselves!
The snow is up almost to Nathan's knees. This is heavy, heavy wet snow. It will be interesting to see how much moisture we get from this weekend.
Nathan's flight to Jackson was canceled due to the snow. So now he is playing outside with the kids.

Friday, October 10thOur first fire of the season! The kids have never been so happy. All camped out by the fire, reading, holding Bjorn and Hannelora knits. Brings back my childhood memories....
It almost feels like the excitement of Christmas with snow, being warm and cozy and being together.

Nice to see your kids all cozy by the fire. (I'm trying not to worry about them burning themselves and/or the big spiders lurking in the kindling...)
Don't tell Megan you had a fire, I want a gas fireplace, and she calls them fake fires, and is lobbying hard to keep our "real" fireplace. Tell Karen, spiders burn well!haha
