Canning meat and applesauce

Ok, I have to admit canned meat sounds gross. But it tastes sooooo good! I mean it falls apart in your mouth good! I am so not a meat lover either, however, this changes my mind.

There is nothing better than your own applesauce. I love the look of my pantry filled with canned goods. Surprisingly, Nathan likes to can as well.

I made mom homemade tortillas and an apple pie for her present.

I watched my 2 nephews for my brother and Laurel Friday morning while they did some shopping.

My brother and his family flew in from Arizona on Thursday. I was so excited to see them. We went over to my grandma's house for a real mexican dinner. Homemade tortillas and pork. mmmmm....

This was our second hike this summer. It has been nice to get some family time. We have been getting our kids ready for a few hikes in Glacier. This time we had a better time on our trek, less whining and tears. It was only 2 1/2 miles one way but it was up hill the whole time. We were amazed how much we went up. Zeb liked going down hill. (And I accidentally left his cape in the car...) He's been talking about wanting to go again.
